Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Semi-Skilled Laborer for Warren State Hospital. You will support construction, maintenance, and repair across the campus, using tools and teamwork to keep facilities safe and welcoming.

This limited-term, full-time role runs 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Overtime and travel may be required; telework is not available.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in laboring work with tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Grounds work: mow, trim shrubs, rake debris and maintain outdoor areas with hand and power tools.
• Material handling: load/unload trucks, move furniture or equipment, transport materials.
• Maintenance support: perform basic repairs to buildings and facilities using various tools.
• Trade assistance: assist skilled workers with demolition, cement mixing, and scaffold setup.
• Snow removal: clear snow from walkways and work areas.
• Painting tasks: prepare surfaces and apply paint to walls, ceilings and woodwork.
