Job summary

The State of Indiana is seeking a Maintenance Foreman at Madison Correctional Facility in Madison, Indiana. You will join a full‑service maintenance team managing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and grounds work, with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional supervision of incarcerated individuals.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of electrical, carpentry, plumbing and painting trades.
• Ability to plan, schedule and supervise job sites.
• Ability to fill in for other foremen to ensure operations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and remediation plans.
• Understanding OSHA standards and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Solicit cost estimates or cost proposals.
• Estimate costs and work hours for maintenance projects.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Train and supervise employees and incarcerated workers.
• Ensure work meets quality standards and deadlines.
