Job summary

Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, PA is seeking a versatile facilities technician to support custodial, grounds, maintenance and event coverage across campus. Duties include substitute custodial coverage, event setups, grounds maintenance, and minor repairs, with overtime and on-call as needed.

The role may require travel between campus buildings and occasional snow removal; full-time benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a custodian preferred.
• Experience in general maintenance duties (electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC) preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Knowledge of computer applications related to work order systems and Office 365 required.
• Forklift training/certification required or to be obtained.
• Diversity and multicultural sensitivity required.

Responsibilities

• Drive trucks, scissor lifts and forklifts.
• Assist other trades (plumbers, carpenters, electricians, masons, painters) with maintenance duties.
• Install/repair electrical lighting systems and fixtures.
• Install/repair wood/metal framing, insulation, drywall, trim, ceilings.
• Patch, sand, prime and paint surfaces.
• Assist with groundskeeping tasks including snow removal.
• Move offices and equipment across campus.
• Assist custodians with floor care, cleaning and maintenance.
• Dispose of trash and recycling.
• Set up areas for college events.
