Job summary

Las Vegas, Nevada – MGM Resorts International is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to maintain and repair equipment and support daily operations across our resort properties. You will be responsible for boilers, compressors, refrigeration, generators and all ride-system related equipment, with a focus on reliability and safety.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, experience in resort maintenance, and preferred certifications such as Allen Bradley PLC, 6G welding, or Aircraft

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a resort or theme park maintenance preferred.
• Allen Bradley PLC, 6G welding certification, or Aircraft A&P experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair equipment for boilers, compressors, refrigeration, generators and other machinery involved in operation.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair ride systems and auxiliary equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic problems on ride systems and auxiliary equipment.
• Complete work orders.
• Walk daily routes and perform necessary repairs.

THE JOB:

It is the primary responsibility of the Maintenance Engineer to maintain and repair all equipment and to assist in the daily operations and activities which they have been assigned and provide administrative and technical support as directed by department management.

THE STARTING RATE:

$43.09/ Per Hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Maintain and repair all equipment related to the successful operation of boilers, compressors, refrigeration equipment, generators and all equipment that is driven by steam, electricity, gas, air, diesel, water or any other power developing energy which has to do with or is related to the operation of all mechanical equipment
• Inspect, maintain, and repair ride systems and auxiliary equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic problems on ride systems and auxiliary equipment
• Complete work orders
• Walk daily routes and make necessary repairs

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience working in a similar resort setting Preferred
• Experience with theme park maintenance Preferred
• Allen Bradley PLC, 6G welding certification, or Aircraft A&P experience Preferred
• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays Required
