Job summary

Las Vegas-based MGM Resorts International seeks a Facilities Manager to oversee the department under the Director of Facilities. You will manage maintenance, operations, and staff across the engineering department to schedule, assign, and complete work.

Responsibilities include directing engineering activities, ensuring service standards, complying with health and building codes, and managing budgets, inventory, and preventive maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of prior relevant as a manager or related technical education and/or experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute department strategy consistent with the strategic plan, the fiscal budget, and the company's short term and long-term profitability objectives
• Directly supervise all engineering activities and maintenance personnel including performance feedback, setting work priorities and goals, scheduling, hiring, training, promotions, and employee engagement
• Supervise the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the company's service standards and brand attributes
• Ensure compliance with all local and federal health, safety, and building codes and maintain accurate record keeping of department activities and documents
• Continuously monitor utility costs and consumption and maintain required logs for all utilities
• Leverage programs to maintain preventative maintenance schedules and procedures and oversee preventative maintenance, cleaning, and repairs/replacement of equipment
• Provide input and manage levels of inventory and all purchases for parts, tools, equipment, and machinery to property standards
• Must be able to stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, and access various areas of the property for inspections, equipment assessments, and oversight of maintenance activities.
• Must be able to occasionally lift, carry, push, and/or pull tools, equipment, parts, and materials up to 50 pounds and respond to operational or emergency situations as needed.

THE JOB:
