Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a facilities technician to schedule and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC units, air compressors, and water systems, ensuring equipment reliability and uptime in a manufacturing environment.

You’ll document PM schedules, support facility projects, and coordinate with suppliers, keeping safety and quality at the forefront. This role requires a Bachelor’s in facilities management and 2.5–5 years’ experience, strong communication, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities management or equivalent discipline with 2.5-5 years’ experience.
• Experience within a facilities maintenance, facilities/service technician, role.
• General understanding and working knowledge of HVAC, basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical skills.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with office applications.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and hazardous material identification and handling.
• Demonstrated preventative maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, maintain, and complete all preventative maintenance on facilities equipment.
• Manage all new facilities projects and PM schedules.
• Install, set up and ensure operational readiness of required equipment.
• Communicate project status and issues in a timely manner.
• Support production equipment maintenance team.
