Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Master Facilities Technician - HVAC to maintain and repair critical facility systems in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.

You will handle air handling units, chillers, boilers, and BMS/EMS interfaces, ensuring cleanrooms meet strict specs. Ideal candidates bring 15+ years of HVAC/facilities experience, MA refrigeration license, and the ability to read drawings and troubleshoot complex systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical/associate preferred.
• 15+ years HVAC/facilities maintenance in controlled environments.
• MA refrigeration license and CFC/EPA universal certification.
• Strong knowledge of AHUs, chillers, boilers, towers, pumps, fans, and HVAC controls.
• Experience with BMS/EMS and reading drawings/electrical schematics.
• Ability to work safely around electrical equipment and rotating machinery.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and facility systems including AHUs, rooftops, pumps, fans, chillers, boilers, and cooling towers.
• Maintain cleanrooms and controlled environments with precise temperature, humidity, and airflow.
• Monitor alarms via BMS/EMS and perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control-system issues; read drawings and manuals.
• Assist with installations, upgrades, and commissioning; document maintenance history in CMMS.
• Support safety, environmental, and regulatory procedures; participate in on-call rotations.
