Job summary

Willco in Washington, DC is seeking a Building Maintenance Engineer to manage and maintain building systems. The role requires hands-on maintenance, strong communication with tenants, and flexibility to cover all shifts as needed.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of facilities engineering training, a CFC license, and experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. This is a full-time position with hourly pay in the $30–$35 range.

Qualifications

• Education: 3–5 years training in facilities management and engineering.
• Experience: self-starter with customer relations skills and ability to manage 2–3 personnel.
• Physical requirements: able to lift over 50 lbs., climb ladders, walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment data, records and maintenance schedules for major items/systems.
• Ensure proper start up/shut down of operating equipment at day start/end.
• Resolve tenant HVAC complaints; electrical, plumbing and other tenant requests.
• Provide prompt, courteous service and prioritize quality to tenants.
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment systems.
• Use blueprints, drawings and manuals to perform duties.
• Adhere to established safety rules to maintain a safe working environment.
• Report pending items to the Property Manager for direction.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
