Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Assistant Building Engineer in Bellevue to maintain medium to large buildings and industrial systems. You will support preventive maintenance, diagnose problems, and repair equipment, while ensuring compliance with codes and CBRE standards.

The role requires 2–3 years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. You will work within standard procedures to meet deadlines and support energy management initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of related experience or combination of education and experience considered.
• Must meet physical requirements: stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, able to lift 50 lbs+.
• Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems and make judgments.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose issues, and implement repairs.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Plan and estimate time and materials for repairs.
• Support energy management by keeping systems efficient.
• Inspect new installations for code and safety compliance.
