Job summary

The Twenty Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain Tribal entities’ indoor and outdoor premises and to support Engineering and other departments. This role emphasizes basic repairs and upkeep, ensuring safety standards, and contributing to a Five Star guest and staff experience.

You will assist with project planning, grounds maintenance, and coordinating with outside contractors while working across multiple tribal locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding our mission statement.
• Deliver our Five Star Experience to Guests and all Team Members by embodying our Mission Statement and Service Promise while adhering to department service standards.
• Maintain operating condition of Tribal entities' buildings and equipment and completes simple repairs.
• Use knowledge of fundamental mechanical, electrical, carpentry, painting and plumbing.
• Aid in planning of tribal entities' projects, remodeling, expansions and monitors jobs completed by outside contractors.
• Ground maintenance.
• Requires technical knowledge of the construction and maintenance work involved, and the ability to use cost-estimating methods.
• Must be able to follow safety guidelines and work closely with Safety Coordinator to make sure all OSHA safety guidelines are adhered to.
• Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) as well as all Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
• Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to its guests and vendors and to assist them as required.
• Must follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment.
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
