Job summary

West Roxbury Health & Rehabilitation Center in West Roxbury, MA seeks a Director of Maintenance. You will oversee the facility's maintenance program, grounds, equipment, preventive maintenance, and life-safety systems while leading a maintenance team and partnering with Administration.

This 76-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation community offers Short-Term Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care, hospice, and respite care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years in maintenance or related areas.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience to include hiring, training, and scheduling staff.
• Extensive knowledge of Life Safety Codes and NFPA standards; OSHA knowledge preferred.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance operation for the facility.
• Oversee building systems, heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, and preventive maintenance.
• Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate with vendors/contractors.
• Manage inventory and budget related to maintenance activities.
• Coordinate maintenance work with Administration to minimize disruption to resident care.
