Job summary

The Pavilion at Jacksonville is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance Department, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and reliable facility upkeep.

You will develop budgets, supervise maintenance staff, schedule preventive and routine repairs, and coordinate plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and building systems to keep the community well-maintained. This role emphasizes hands-on leadership in a skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum three years supervisory maintenance experience.
• Licensed according to applicable standards and codes.
• Preferred: maintenance director experience in SNF/long-term care.
• Working knowledge of electrical, HVAC, and building systems.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Directs the Maintenance Department and its programs.
• Ensure Life Safety Code compliance and regulatory adherence.
• Review policies and staffing with leadership annually.
• Prepare and monitor operating budgets for maintenance.
• Train staff on safety policies and procedures.
• Plan and supervise preventive and unplanned maintenance work.
• Coordinate plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and electrical tasks.
