Job summary

The Pavilion at Jacksonville is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead the Maintenance Department, ensuring safety, compliance, and reliable facility operations. You will manage staff, oversee preventative maintenance, and coordinate trades to keep the building in top condition.

Ideal candidates have SNF/LTC experience, strong knowledge of electrical and HVAC systems, and a valid driver’s license, with a focus on safety and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in maintenance/plant roles.
• Licensed in accordance with applicable standards, codes, labor laws, etc.
• Experience as Maintenance Director in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Long Term Care Facility preferred.
• Working understanding of electrical, HVAC, mechanical and architectural systems.

Responsibilities

• Directs the Maintenance Department and its programs and activities.
• Ensures Life Safety Code compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
• Reviews policies and job descriptions annually and makes revisions.
• Prepares operating and staffing budgets for maintenance and monitors monthly.
• Ensures safety training and policy compliance for maintenance staff.
• Oversees preventative and unplanned maintenance including trades like painting, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical.
• Schedules department work hours, vacations and holidays.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
