Job summary

Aviata Health Group is seeking a Director of Maintenance to lead our maintenance operations in our Jacksonville facility. You will plan, organize, and direct the department to meet safety and regulatory standards, while building a strong, service-oriented team focused on resident comfort and facility reliability.

The ideal candidate has supervisory experience, knowledge of mechanical systems, and a track record of implementing preventive maintenance programs.

Qualifications

Minimum high school education or equivalent.
Secondary degree from an accredited vocational/technical school preferred.
At least 3 years in a supervisory maintenance/plant role.
Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators and HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
Qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to a job well done.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a preventive maintenance plan with specific tasks and timelines.
Establish an equipment and utilities management program.
Hire, train, and supervise maintenance technicians to address tasks.
Participate in safety inspections and document findings.
Provide facility-wide safety training and chair the Safety Committee.
Perform routine maintenance on building grounds.
Ensure supplies and equipment are maintained for a safe environment.
Drive innovative ideas to continually improve systems and processes.
