Facilities Maintenance Coordinator (Part-Time)
Lancaster EMS is currently recruiting a part-time Facilities Maintenance Coordinator.
The duties of the Facilities Maintenance Coordinator include:
- Inspection of buildings, grounds, and other structures to detect malfunctions and needed repairs, making notes and recommendations to management for major repairs.
- Troubleshooting minor maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement. Makes necessary repairs or coordinates with outside vendor if unable to repair.
- Performing preventative building maintenance duties, such as, but not limited to, caulking windows and doors, repairs, and replaces broken windows, etc.
- Assembling and moving furniture, hanging pictures and bulletin boards, making name plates, moving and setting up tables and chairs.
- Repairing and replacing door knobs or locks, repairing door closures, patching holes in walls.
- Painting interior and exterior walls using various painting equipment and related tools (e.g. sprayers, rollers, brushes, thinners, etc).
- Maintaining professional appearance of grounds surrounding company buildings (e.g. mowing, mulching, weed control, planting flowers/shrubs, trimming shrubs, etc).
- Monitoring contractor performance and working closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Knowledge of trades related to building maintenance and repair (electrical, plumbing, and carpentry).
- Knowledge of a variety of building maintenance procedures and techniques.
- Knowledge of machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for the maintenance and repair of buildings.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Skill in reading and following blueprints and assembly instructions.
- Skills in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
