The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Clerk to join our Los Angeles office. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our facilities, systems, and equipment. The ideal candidate is proactive, skilled in troubleshooting facility-related issues, and capable of performing routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. This is a hands‑on role that supports the Facilities Supervisor in managing daily facility maintenance tasks, including event support, storage management, deliveries, office moves, and large‑scale office relocations. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain practical experience in facilities management within a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities maintenance & repairs.
  • Identify and report broken or damaged items in the office (e.g., lightbulbs, cabinets, water dispensers) to management.
  • Perform light maintenance and repair duties as required.
  • Assist with plumbing repairs at the office.
  • Install artwork and TVs upon request.
  • Manage DIRECTV setup and inventory.
  • Organize and maintain office storage areas, ensuring items are properly labeled and accessible.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and update records accordingly.
  • Coordinate with various departments to manage storage needs and space allocation.
  • Receive and distribute deliveries, ensuring timely delivery to appropriate departments or individuals.
  • Assist with internal office moves, including the physical relocation of furniture and equipment.
  • Manage the logistics for incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Support the Facilities Supervisor in planning and executing large‑scale office relocations.
  • Prepare detailed plans and schedules to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Coordinate with movers, IT, and other departments for a seamless transition.
  • Assist with event setup, breakdown, and logistics as needed.
  • Respond promptly to facilities‑related inquiries from employees.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in facilities maintenance, event support, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proactive team player who can take initiative.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and frequently carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs.

  • Position requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, and handling objects.
  • Standing or walking may be required for the entire duration of the shift.
  • Office setting with occasional exposure to warehouse and outdoor environments.
Work Environment & Schedule

M-F onsite at our Los Angeles office. Occasional evening or weekend work required to support events or relocations. Office setting with occasional exposure to warehouse and outdoor environments.

Compensation

The base hourly rate for this position is in the range of $23.00 - $27.00/hour. This position is also eligible for benefits and a discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
