Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness of equipment, facilities and grounds in a fast-paced industrial laundry environment. The role requires physical activity and adherence to safety practices while supporting event setups and daily operations.

Responsibilities include heavy cleaning, floor care, trash disposal, and assisting multiple departments. Some locations require PIT operation certification; training is available where needed.

Qualifications

• Recognize colors and sizes, count and sort accurately.
• In some locations, be able and certified to safely operate a powered industrial truck.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products and procedures or willing to learn.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively with a team.
• Work independently, comprehend and follow written or verbal direction.

Responsibilities

• Performs heavy cleaning duties and cleans plant equipment with air and other methods.
• Scrub, sanitize, vacuum, sweep and mop floors and areas.
• Dispose of trash, clean spills, replace air fresheners, and maintain facilities for events.
• Move furniture, supplies and equipment within departments and assist others.
• Operate a powered industrial truck to move and load items; follow safety rules.
