Job summary

Lakeview Terrace Retirement Community is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Assistant to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on facility systems and equipment at our Altoona, FL location. The role supports after-hours on-call coverage and coordinates with the Director of Plant Operations to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications include a high school diploma/GED and at least one year in facilities maintenance, with a basic understanding of electrical systems and general maintenance

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
1 year experience in Facilities Maintenance required.
Basic understanding of electrical systems.
Knowledge of general maintenance processes.
Working knowledge of tools and devices.
Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repair on equipment, systems, and facility structures.
Respond to maintenance needs, including after-hours on-call responsibilities.
Support recordkeeping, communication, and departmental coordination under the Director of Plant Operations.
Follow preventive maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Keep lines of communication with the Director of Plant Operations and report problems promptly.
