Job summary

Racine Country Club is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help keep club facilities clean, safe, and functional. You will support daily maintenance, minor repairs, and preventative programs while ensuring compliance with club standards.

The role involves outdoor work, lifting up to 50 lbs, and occasional weekend shifts when needed. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of maintenance, custodial, or general labor experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and building systems is a plus.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors, and stand for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Willingness to work 7am–3:30pm on weekdays and some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily maintenance tasks including basic repairs, cleaning, painting, and equipment upkeep.
• Support preventative maintenance programs for all club facilities.
• Perform routine inspections to identify safety hazards or maintenance issues.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Help maintain cleanliness and order in maintenance areas and storage spaces.
• Respond to service calls and maintenance requests from staff and management.
• Set up and take down of furniture for events and seasonal operations.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with standards.
• Report major repairs or needs to Manager.
• Assist with pool area maintenance during summer season.
