Job summary

Racine Country Club seeks a Maintenance Assistant to keep facilities clean, safe, and functional. You will perform daily maintenance tasks, assist with repairs, painting, and equipment upkeep, and support preventive maintenance across club areas.

This role requires 1–2 years of related experience, basic tool knowledge, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and availability 7:00 am to 3:30 pm on weekdays with occasional weekends. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years maintenance, custodial, or general labor experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) is a plus.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to work 7am–3:30pm on weekdays and occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily maintenance tasks including basic repairs, cleaning, painting, and equipment upkeep.
• Support preventative maintenance programs for all club facilities.
• Perform routine inspections to identify potential safety hazards or maintenance issues.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Help maintain cleanliness and order in maintenance areas, mechanical rooms, and storage spaces.
• Respond promptly to service calls and maintenance requests from staff and management.
• Set up and take down of furniture for events, meetings, or seasonal operations.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with club and regulatory standards.
• Report major repairs or needs to Manager.
• Assist with pool area maintenance during summer season.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support club operations.

• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), work outdoors, and be on your feet for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license
• Willingness to work 7am - 3:30pm on weekdays and occasional weekends.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
