Job summary

Genesis HealthCare, Inc. in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep the nursing center and grounds clean, safe, and orderly, presenting a welcoming appearance for residents and staff.

You will perform repairs on rails, HVAC filters, and various building components, assist with supplying needs, and may assume maintenance supervisor duties in the supervisor's absence. A high school diploma or equivalent and basic wiring/plumbing/carpentry knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Assistant completes a variety of tasks to maintain the nursing center and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition along with a pleasing appearance.
• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence
