Job summary

CBRE Maintenance Tech Apprentice role in Irvine, CA offers a 1-year training program within a full-time permanent position with benefits. You will assist in basic preventive maintenance and repairs of building systems under supervision, gaining hands-on experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year program or technical school.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and curiosity.

Responsibilities

• Receive training from current engineers in safety and repair procedures.
• Observe engineers performing preventive maintenance and repairs on facility systems.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Support energy management and ensure systems operate efficiently.
• Inspect new or existing installations for building codes and safety compliance.
• Follow a set procedure for repetitive tasks.
• Perform duties with clear, defined steps and minimal discretion.
