Job summary

STEP, Inc. is seeking a dependable Facilities Maintenance/Groundskeeper in Williamsport. The role covers indoor/outdoor upkeep, repairs, landscaping, and project support, with a stable schedule and community-focused mission.

You will help maintain safe, clean, and welcoming environments for staff, clients, and visitors while contributing to meaningful community services and facility improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of two years of experience or technical training in construction, building trades, facility maintenance, or a related field
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
• Ability to safely work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
• Climb ladders, work at heights, and lift up to 30 pounds unassisted and 60 pounds with assistance
• Background and driving record clearances

What You'll Do

As a Facilities Maintenance/Groundskeeper, you'll perform a variety of maintenance and groundskeeping duties, including:

• General building maintenance and repairs

• Carpentry, drywall, painting, and finishing work
• Basic plumbing and electrical repairs
• Landscaping, mowing, mulching, pruning, and lawn maintenance
• Snow removal and sidewalk maintenance
• Facility cleaning and janitorial support as needed
• Moving furniture and assisting with facility projects
• Maintaining safe and secure worksites
• Completing work orders and project documentation
• Supporting other maintenance-related duties as assigned

PAY RATE:$16.63 per hour

• High school diploma or GED

• Minimum of two years of experience or technical training in construction, building trades, facility maintenance, or a related field
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
• Ability to safely work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
• Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and lift up to 30 pounds unassisted and 60 pounds with assistance
• Ability to successfully complete required background and driving record clearances

Preferred Skills

• General knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and facility maintenance
• Experience operating hand and power tools
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Basic computer skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong customer service and communication skills
