The Salvation Army is seeking a part-time Facilities Support Staff and Housekeeping team member in Kansas City, KS. The role focuses on cleaning, basic maintenance, safety, and appearance of buildings, grounds, and equipment.

Responsibilities include floor care, restroom cleaning, trash removal, minor repairs, and assisting with special projects. Requires HS diploma and at least 2 years in maintenance or construction; a valid driver's license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years’ experience in maintenance or construction field.
• Driver’s license from state of residence.
• First Aid and CPR certification, preferred.

Responsabilités

• Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum and strip and wax floor and/or carpet.
• Clean all hallways, stairs, restrooms and office spaces.
• Empty trash.
• Using basic power tools, provide minor building maintenance (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical).
• Inspect and notify management concerning needs for major repairs, safety or security issues.
• Advise direct supervisor of janitorial and building supply needs.
• Provide routine outside maintenance; clean snow and debris from sidewalk; mow lawn, trim shrubbery, and cultivate flowers as assigned.
• Follow schedule for cleaning windows, furniture, floor polishing, dusting, etc.
• Set up furniture for meetings as required.
• Provide support to special projects including Christmas effort and events.
• Other duties as assigned by Facility Manager.
