Position Description:

Under the guidance of the Supervisor/Group Leader, the Technician performs major mechanical and electrical work, including installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment such as machinery, motors, generators, boilers, air conditioning systems, and process furnaces. The Technician may supervise helpers and is responsible for preparing bills of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment issues.
• Maintain equipment parts lists and perform daily preventive maintenance.
• Assist in equipment setup as needed.
• Follow safety, environmental, and property protection policies, complying with relevant codes.
• Perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting, pulling, pushing, and working in awkward positions, often in dirty or hazardous environments.

The ideal candidate should be flexible, proactive in problem-solving, willing to learn, and eager to improve workplace processes.

Required Education & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to analyze failures and perform repairs, as well as implement preventive measures.

Minimal travel may be required.
