Job summary

PennEngineering is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join the Maintenance Team in Danboro, PA. You will perform a range of hands-on tasks including carpentry, basic electrical, plumbing, and facility upkeep to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proven experience as handyman, carpenter, or similar role in manufacturing/industrial setting.
  • Strong carpentry skills and ability to handle repairs and construction tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance work.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Good communication and ability to work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving and proactive task completion.

Responsibilities

  • Perform final touches on plant installations, equipment setup, and workspace improvements.
  • Build and repair structures, cabinets, partitions, drywall, and trim; install shelving.
  • Paint and prep surfaces, patching, priming, finishing walls and equipment.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs including plumbing and minor electrical fixes.
  • Maintain plant appearance and groundskeeping as needed.
  • Ensure proper storage and use of tools and materials.
  • Adhere to plant safety protocols and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as required.

What You Will Do
  • Perform knock-out tasks, including final touches on plant installations, equipment setup, and workspace improvements to ensure operational readiness.
  • Complete carpentry projects such as building and repairing structures, cabinets, and shelving; installing partitions, drywall, and trim work as needed.
  • Execute painting and surface preparation tasks, including patching, priming, and finishing of plant walls, floors, and equipment to maintain a clean and professional appearance.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs across the plant, including plumbing, minor electrical fixes, and general upkeep to ensure a safe and functional environment.
  • Assist with maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of the plant, including groundskeeping, minor plumbing tasks, and other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure proper maintenance, storage, and use of tools and materials required for all maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Adhere to all plant safety protocols and regulations, ensuring that work is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Perform other duties as required.
What We Are Looking For
