Performs tasks in facility maintenance to include but not limited to inspection, diagnosis, preventive maintenance, repair, replacement and installation of facility equipment. Other trade work to include but not limited to roofing, masonry, painting, carpentry and other appropriate duties as assigned.
SCHEDULE
1st Shift - Tuesday-Saturday 7:00am-3:30pm (Days Off: Sunday/Monday)
- Performs tasks in facility maintenance to include but not limited to inspection, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, repair, replacement, and installation of facility equipment.
- Other trade work to include but not limited to plumbing, roofing, masonry, painting, and carpentry.
- Emergency call in for repairs and snow removal work may be required.
- Other appropriate duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities, Superintendent of Facilities, Crew Leader, and Maintenance Supervisor.
- Five years of experience working in Facility Maintenance full time. NOTE: May consider other Training, Trade School, or other relevant work experience in place of the Five year requirement.
- Basic skills and knowledge of facility mechanical systems including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and fluid transfer systems
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems or heavy duty vehicle lifts system repairs is a plus and may be taken into consideration
- Basic skills in plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry and snowplow / snow removal
- Basic knowledge working with a CMMS (computerized maintenance management system)
- Good written and organization skills to complete and maintain forms, lists and other documents
- Basic Computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel
- Valid and current Commercial Vehicle Driver's License (CDL)
- A valid and current Connecticut Electrical Trade License or a valid and current CT HVAC Trade License D-2 or higher, with 5 years of full-time experience working as a licensed tradesman.
- Other Trade Licenses will be considered. EX - P-2, B-2 or higher with 5 years of full-time experience working as a licensed tradesman.
