Job summary

Brobston Group is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician I to help maintain a safe, well‑maintained store environment across multiple locations. Under close supervision, this role performs preventive maintenance and assists with monitoring building systems and equipment.

The position involves performing preventive maintenance, completing daily inspections, and assisting with repairs to plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and other building systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience or training.
• Basic knowledge of trade skills, mechanical systems and power tools.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions and communicate effectively.
• Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills.
• Flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and off-hours support.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders and lift or carry 50 pounds or more, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, respond to on-demand maintenance requests, and maintain accurate records.
• Complete daily inspections and building rounds.
• Assist with troubleshooting and basic repairs to plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, HVAC, lighting, and other building systems.
• Use manuals, blueprints, schematics, and circuit diagrams to support repairs.
• Respond to emergencies, provide customer service, and resolve issues when needed.
• Follow safety requirements, applicable codes, and company directives.
