Job summary

Lacma in Los Angeles is seeking a Facilities Logistics Assistant I to organize logistics, manage material delivery and pickup, and support cross-departmental staff.

Reporting to the Manager, Facility Services and Safety, you will ensure timely work completion, maintain safety standards, and assist with loading dock operations, shipping, and receiving. Weekend, early morning, and evening availability is required.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in logistics support.
• Team oriented with a positive attitude.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn electronic work order systems.
• Valid California Class C driver’s license; forklift/scissor lift certifications preferred.

Facility Services

Reporting to the Manager, Facility Services and Safety , the Facilities Logistics Assistant I, supports operational efforts by organizing logistics, executing material delivery and pick-up assignments, and performing customer service activities supporting cross-departmental staff.

Responsibilities:

• Performs work assigned by supervisor verbally and through the work orders system, including Facility Service Routine Operations and Special Events set-ups.
• Responsible for ensuring work is completed on time and meets the desired logistics objectives.
• Upholds Facility Services quality standards for customer service, ensuring all support expectations are met and any changes or issues are communicated in a clear and timely manner.
• Maintains high standards of workplace safety and cleanliness.
• Assists with the loading dock operations, including shipping, receiving, and access requests.
• Receives and coordinates with vendors, providing supervisor updates on operational progress.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Able to work weekends, early mornings and evenings.

The expected hourly rate for this Los Angeles, CA-based position is $20.00, subject to change.

Qualifications:

• At least one year of experience in logistics support preferred.
