Job summary

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, CA is seeking a Facilities Maintenance & Life Support Manager to oversee maintenance operations across paints, carpentry, landscape, life support, and water quality. The role requires leadership of the Life Support team, coordination with the Maintenance Director, and ensuring regulatory compliance while delivering safe, efficient park experiences.

Strong organizational skills, five years of experience, and a valid driver's license are required;

Qualifications

• At least five years of facility maintenance or related experience.
• At least five years of supervisory or project management experience.
• Working knowledge of CAL OSHA, EPA and regulatory rules.
• Strong organization, written and oral communication, math and interpersonal skills.
• Proven leadership and motivational abilities.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a broad array of facility maintenance with multiple trades.
• Oversee Life Support department operations for safety and efficiency.
• Chair Dive Control Board; coordinate with DSO for safe dives.
• Interface with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
• Estimate job costs and manage budgets with cost reduction focus.
• Prioritize and manage work orders; coordinate with vendors and requisitions.
• Conduct daily site inspections and review upcoming work.
• Maintain leadership, safety, policy enforcement, and motivation.
• Coordinate capital and asset maintenance with code compliance.
• Ensure projects finish safely and on schedule without affecting guests.
