Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is seeking an experienced Life Support Engineer to maintain aquatic life support systems and exhibits. The role includes daily maintenance, inspections, and participation in system builds and modifications, ensuring adherence to safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with LSS equipment, troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing domains, and relevant certifications.

Competenze

• Ability to perform mathematic equations using geometry and algebra.
• Knowledge of maintaining closed loop filtration systems.
• Troubleshoot LS Systems including pumps, motors, valves and ozone/UV.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and operate vehicles.
• Ability to work with chemicals and follow MSDS.
• AALSO and CPO certifications are preferred.
• Experience with Life Support Systems in zoos/aquariums.

Mansioni

• Maintain day-to-day operations of aquatic animal exhibits and Life Support Systems.
• Oversee daily inspection and maintenance of LSS equipment (pumps, filters, ozone, UV, chemical dosing, controls).
• Assist with new system builds and modifications to existing LS systems.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on LSS equipment and related components.
• Troubleshoot and repair LS systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing).
• Participate in cross-training within departments and communicate with supervisors.
