Job summary

GeneDx is seeking a Facilities Lead to provide technical services across building interiors, exteriors, and lab spaces, ensuring all systems are maintained and ready for daily activities in Gaithersburg, MD. You will manage tickets, oversee projects, and ensure documentation and safety standards are followed.

The role requires 3–5 years in facilities maintenance, HVAC experience, and familiarity with Building Management Systems.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in industrial, laboratory, biotechnology, or commercial facilities maintenance.
• 3–5 years of hands-on HVAC experience in commercial/industrial buildings.
• Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS).

Responsibilities

• Manage ticket queues and assign tasks by priority.
• Oversee facilities projects to improve building reliability and functionality.
• Triage tickets and respond quickly to restorations of lab functionality.
• Maintain master equipment records and ensure Good Documentation Practice.
• Support cross-functional projects with Equipment, Quality, Lab Personnel and IT.
• Coordinate access for external vendors and ensure safety standards.
• Communicate status of systems to cross-functional teams.
• Conduct regular lab and building inspections and identify deficiencies.
• Oversee after-hours scheduling for on-call needs.
• Perform minor HVAC, water, fire suppression, and lab equipment troubleshooting.
