Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a Janitorial Manager in Greensboro, NC to own contracted services at a building or campus and lead operational and administrative activities with strong cost controls. The role oversees recruiting, safety, productivity, and quality of operations while building trusted client relationships.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 3–5 years of supervisory experience, including OSHA knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to lead

• Experience leading teams and managing client relationships.
• Strong communication and negotiation capabilities essential.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong client relationships with assigned account(s).
• Identify areas of opportunity and lead the team to implement process changes.
• Promote a strong safety culture and safe work environment.
• Effectively recruit, manage, and lead a team of employees and supervisors.
• Motivate and develop the team while supporting organizational change.
• Ensure schedules meet department and contractual needs; plan work assignments.
• Perform daily quality control inspections to ensure standards are met.
• Adapt plans to operational challenges; optimize staff allocation.
• Look for opportunities to increase revenue by additional services.
• Drive performance management, coaching, and disciplinary actions when needed.
• Handle special projects and other duties as assigned.
