Job summary

AMBA in Urbandale, IA is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and functionality of the campus, coordinating with vendors and internal teams. The role includes ensuring safety, space planning, and IT support to the Service Desk for basic issues, with a focus on proactive facilities management.

You will work hybrid, Monday-Thursday in the office and Fridays remote, handling vendor relations, emergency plans, and office moves while upholding AMBA's standards and culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in IT or related field is a plus.
• Experience in a customer service or asset management role; IT support experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, Windows and macOS, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a friendly, patient attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for building services requests.
• Oversee upkeep of office spaces, repairs, cleaning, and utilities.
• Manage vendor expectations and duties per contract with the property management firm.
• Coordinate office relocations, renovations, and expansions.
• Ensure workspace design aligns with company culture and employee needs.
• Monitor and track service requests for follow-up and closure.
• Provide tier 1 IT support for issues including troubleshooting hardware/software.
• Log and track tickets and escalate when needed.
• Support IT projects and initiatives assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
