Job summary

Sam Houston State University seeks a Specialist III - Inventory Specialist to manage university space and property inventories, perform building audits, and ensure accurate data entry and reporting across campus. You will work with the Campus Space Planner, maintain THECB coding records, and prepare charts and summaries.

An Associate degree and several years of related experience in records management or inventory control are required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Three years of experience compiling and maintaining records, assessing data details, inventory tracking, general auditing of records.

Responsibilities

• Maintains an accurate inventory of all space and properties, including parking lots, sports fields, and off-campus sites.
• Enters and maintains building and room data per THECB coding requirements.
• Performs building audits, measures rooms, photographs facilities, and verifies signage.
• Prepares reports, charts, and presentations, and attends meetings in the Campus Space Planner's absence.
• Scans and files copies of property deeds, easements and agreements.
