Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University is seeking a Facilities Inventory Specialist to manage the day-to-day operations of the JHFRE storeroom, overseeing inventory tracking, material distribution, and stock levels to support Facility Operations on the Homewood Campus.

The role collaborates with technicians, supervisors, Procurement, vendors, and JHFRE IT to ensure accurate receiving, stocking, and replenishment, while reducing administrative burden on staff and improving inventory visibility and cost

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of facilities coordination, office management, logistics, or administrative operations.
• Additional education may substitute for required experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift and move packages as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for Facility Operations staff requesting materials.
• Manage receiving, stocking, and issuing of materials.
• Maintain accurate records of all inventory, including parts, supplies, and equipment.
• Coordinate with Procurement and vendors for timely delivery.
• Conduct cycle counts and periodic full inventory audits.
• Maintain min/max levels and reorder points.
