Job summary

Micron Technology seeks a Facilities Instrumentation & Controls Technician to support operations at our Boise, Idaho semiconductor fabrication facility.

The role requires a high-energy, detail-oriented professional with a strong work ethic and commitment to safety and excellence.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in industrial instrumentation and controls.
  • Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (3 days on/4 days off, then 4 days on/3 days off), alternating between day and night shifts every 4 months.
  • Valid Electrical Journeyman License (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial instrumentation and controls, preferably in a semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Interest in developing Agentic AI workflows into current or future processes.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain instrumentation and control systems for facilities performance monitoring.
  • Perform calibration and maintenance of instrumentation, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and NFPA 70E standards.
  • Interpret P&ID drawings and one-line diagrams to troubleshoot system faults and alarms.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on complex facility equipment.
  • Monitor and respond to system alarms and abnormal conditions, promptly addressing failures to restore equipment functionality.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve equipment issues and improve system reliability.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, testing, and calibrations.

Responsibilities
