Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician for our Boise, Idaho semiconductor fab. You will maintain medium and low voltage systems up to 35kV, perform preventive/predictive maintenance, and coordinate contractor work while adhering to safety standards.

The role requires 3 years in electrical industrial/semiconductor work, 2 years maintenance experience, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts with rotating days/nights. A journeyman license is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of electrical industrial, semiconductor, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of maintenance experience.
  • Ability to work 12 hours shifts (3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off), and potentially rotate days to nights every 4 months.
  • Preferred: Valid Electrical journeymen license.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety procedures, LOTO, and NFPA 70E standards.
  • Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code NFPA70.
  • Understanding of electrical one-line diagrams and feeder switching on electrical switchboards with redundant feeds.
  • Provide timely and detailed preventative maintenance on highly technical facilities equipment.
  • Respond to alarms and restore equipment to service quickly.
  • Maintain records on maintenance, testing, and calibrations.
  • Identify and reduce equipment defects to improve quality and system stability.

Micron's Facilities Team is looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to work in our new semiconductor fab in Boise, Idaho. We have the opportunity to bring in a high-energy, tenacious, and ambitious individual with a strong work ethic and integrity to join the team. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of all the medium and low voltage systems on-site up to 35kV. This includes distribution switchgear, UPS units, dynamic UPS units, power quality systems, transformers, cable and bus systems, VFDs, and controls and monitoring systems. In this role, you will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, corrective work, inspections, and coordination of work activities performed by contractors.

Qualifications

3 years of electrical industrial, semiconductor, or related field or equivalent experience or equivalent military experience 2 years of maintenance experience Ability to work 12 hours shifts (3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off), and potentially rotate from days to nights every 4 months Preferred qualifications Valid Electrical journeymen license 5 years experience Experience and/or interest in developing Agentic AI workflows into current or future processes.
