Job summary

TSMC Arizona is seeking an experienced Facilities Instrumentation & Controls Technician to join the Facilities team at the Phoenix fab. You will operate, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot PLC/SCADA systems to ensure safety, reliability, and continuous operation of critical automation in a cutting-edge semiconductor facility.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, loop diagrams, and P&ID diagrams.
• Ability to troubleshoot and calibrate industrial automation systems in a fab environment.
• Experience with PLC/SCADA systems and control loops tuning.
• Familiarity with safety policies and working with low-voltage systems.

Responsibilities

• Keep a clean, safe workplace and perform work safely.
• Calibrate measurement systems and maintain calibration logs.
• Track, trend, and report instrumentation performance weekly/monthly.
• Monitor network traffic and troubleshoot communication issues.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineer to tune control loops per specs.
• Support PLC/SCADA/DDC automation systems and backup databases.
