Job summary

TEEMA Group seeks a Facilities Controls Technician in Tempe, AZ to perform calibration, testing, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems. You will diagnose PLC/HMI issues, support SCADA platforms, and ensure data integrity and alarm handling across industrial networks.

This role collaborates with engineering teams during commissioning and upgrades. You will read P&IDs and wiring diagrams, update loop sheets, and maintain records with CMMS tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in instrumentation, controls, or automation maintenance in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of SCADA platforms, sensors, transmitters, control valves, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, control wiring diagrams, loop sheets, and automation documentation.
• Experience with calibration equipment and maintenance of I&C devices.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine calibration, testing, and verification of instrumentation including pressure, temperature, humidity, flow, and level sensors.
• Maintain and repair transmitters, actuators, control valves, positioners, and analytical instruments.
• Diagnose and repair issues in PLC-based systems, HMIs, VFDs, and distributed control architectures.
• Troubleshoot failures in control loops, interlocks, communication networks, and automation hardware.
• Assist in implementing logic updates, parameter adjustments, and functional testing of control sequences.
• Support communication protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, or equivalent industrial networks.
• Maintain and support SCADA platforms to ensure accurate real-time system data.
• Respond to alarms and control system events, ensuring timely corrective action.
• Assist with startup, commissioning, and functional testing of new instrumentation and control systems.
