Job summary

TSMC in Phoenix, AZ is hiring a Facilities I&C Engineer to design, install, and maintain mission-critical control systems for advanced semiconductor manufacturing. You will work on PLC, SCADA, and DDC networks, ensuring safe, reliable operation of HVAC, water treatment, and gas distribution systems.

The role emphasizes calibration, instrumentation loops, network communications, alarm management, and safety systems, with opportunities to participate in ERT duties and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, Civil, Chemical, Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Experience designing, commissioning, and troubleshooting facility instrumentation and control systems is preferred.
• Experience with PLC, SCADA, and DDC industrial automation is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of FMCS, BMS, and CMMS programs and relevant ISA certifications is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement facility I&C systems, including PLC and SCADA configuration, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Oversee initial setup and calibration of I&C systems; collaborate with engineers and technicians.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of I&C systems; support PLC/SCADA and DDC operations.
• Work to optimize I&C system performance and maintain backup databases for logic.
• Participate in safety systems design and Emergency Response Team duties when required.
