Job summary

Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. operates the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research.

This Facilities Maintenance and Engineering role requires healthcare-grade safety awareness and physical stamina to load, transport, and setup heavy equipment across campus and remote sites. You will perform groundskeeping, operate landscaping and snow-removal equipment, and join a rotating on-call schedule for emergency repairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid State Driver's License required with limited demerits.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Load, move, and transport heavy equipment and supplies.
• Operate forklifts and small power tools.
• Transport and set up equipment at onsite/offsite facilities.
• Perform groundskeeping, mowing, trimming, and landscape maintenance.
• Assist with snow and ice removal and deicing as directed.
• Log activity and communicate effectively within a team.
• Adhere to safety procedures and work in potentially hazardous environments.
