Job summary

Peckham, Inc. is seeking a Facilities/Grounds Worker Level 1 in Lansing, MI. The role supports grounds and facility maintenance across Mid-M Michigan, including planting, mulching, weed control, snow removal, and general repairs.

You will work with the Grounds team to uphold Peckham's standards and safety practices. Typical hours are 7:00 am–3:30 pm, Monday–Friday, with overtime as needed. A valid Michigan driver's license is required within 90 days of hire, and access to transportation is

Qualifications

Ability to climb ladders and work from heights, kneel and crouch as needed.
Must read simple documents in English and follow written/oral instructions.
Valid MI driver’s license within 90 days of hire.
Ability to read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

Assist with grounds maintenance: plant ornamentals, mulch, weed, rake, trim trash.
Operate a leaf blower and other hand tools to maintain areas.
Shovel and rake soil and mulch; cultivate soil and plant ornamentals.
Assist with snow removal and emergency access clearance; spread salt/deicer.
Support Peckham Farm and special projects; perform cleaning and basic maintenance.
Follow safety guidelines and report concerns to supervisor.
