Job summary

Goodwill Legacy Group is seeking a Facilities & Grounds Technician in Indianapolis, IN. The role focuses on maintaining equipment, buildings, and grounds across all facilities, with responsibilities ranging from carpentry to basic electrical work.

The position requires safe job practices, strong communication, and a proactive maintenance mindset. Travel to off-site locations may be required; a CMMS is used for work orders and preventive checks.

Qualifications

• Carpentry skills including measuring, drywall finishing, installing hardware.
• Strong communication across oral, written, visual channels.
• Teamwork and customer-focused service are essential.
• Reading and following technical documents such as safety rules and schematics.
• Experience with CMMS for work orders and PM checklists is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs, and completes routine maintenance of facilities and grounds.
• Travels to off-site locations for grounds services and routine maintenance.
• Disassembles and repairs mechanical equipment; replaces worn parts as needed.
• Operates basic hand and machine tools following safety procedures.
• Updates work orders and PM checklists in CMMS; coordinates with management and contractors.
