Job summary

Obsolete Site at Fort Benning, GA is seeking a General Laborer to support grounds maintenance and facility operations. The role includes mowing, landscaping, loading/unloading, and light construction tasks.

You will follow written and verbal instructions, operate hand tools and power equipment, and comply with site rules and safety procedures. This is a full-time, on-site position with federal benefits.

Qualifications

• Three months of laboring experience required.
• Ability to use, control and clean tools and power equipment and to follow oral and/or written instructions.
• Resumes should be two pages (or less).

Responsibilities

• Mows grass, lays sod, weeds garden beds, trims and edges walkways and lawns.
• Loads and unloads conveyances; moves materials using wheelbarrows, hand trucks or dollies.
• Digs, fills and tamp soil and gravel; levels ground and moves heavy items.
• Cleans rugs, floors and fixtures; operates cleaning equipment and performs maintenance on machines.
• Notifies supervisor when additional materials are needed and performs other duties as assigned.
