Job summary

ServiceSource, a nonprofit agency operating within the AbilityOne program, seeks a Grounds Maintenance worker at Fort Bragg. You will perform general grounds tasks, operate equipment safely, and follow safety rules as directed by the crew leader and supervisor.

Responsibilities include mowing, mulching, pruning, planting, and maintaining headstones where required. The role requires ability to gain access to Ft.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Commercial grounds maintenance experience preferred.
• Must be able to gain access to Ft. Bragg Army base.

Responsibilities

• Operate weed eaters, edger, blowers, push mowers, or riding mowers as assigned.
• Perform general grounds maintenance tasks including mulching, pruning, hand weeding, planting, cleaning, and installing headstones.
• Perform all work as instructed by the crew leader and supervisor. Perform quality, safe, and efficient work.
• Ensure equipment is used only for work it was intended for to avoid damage to the equipment, the grounds, and other property.
• Notify crew leader and/or supervisor of any safety issues immediately.
• Work according to all safety rules as related to the equipment being used.
• Ensure all safety rules and procedures are followed, (e.g. proper PPE worn, proper work methods used, and equipment safety devices are in place and operating).
• Follow established break times, as well as beginning and end of scheduled work times.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
