Job summary

Missouri Department of Corrections is seeking a supervisory-level maintenance leader responsible for directing facility, grounds, and contractor work. You will implement preventive maintenance programs, plan and organize tasks, and manage time/material estimates while maintaining records.

Responsibilities include hiring recommendations, staff training, performance assessments, coaching, and progressive discipline to ensure safe and efficient operations across state facilities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with three or more years of experience relevant to listed job functions.
• All requested documents MUST be received by the closing date listed.
• Experience in maintenance, operations, and grounds work is relevant to the role.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee facility, grounds, specialized trade workers, and contractors in maintenance, operations, and repair of state facilities, equipment, and grounds.
• Implement a planned preventive maintenance and repair program; plan and organize work; prepare time and material estimates; order materials; maintain records of materials used.
• Employee supervision includes hire recommendations, training, planning and assigning work, performance assessment, coaching, and progressive discipline.
