Job summary

State of South Carolina is seeking a Custodial Supervisor at the McCrady Training Center to oversee buildings and grounds maintenance across SCARNG facilities. You will supervise custodial staff and contracted crews, manage scheduling, safety, and quality, and direct purchases and vendor coordination for supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities include developing scopes of work, reviewing bids, awarding contracts, inspecting work to standard, maintaining records, and ensuring tenant customer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience supervising custodial, groundskeeping, or maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge of safety practices relevant to custodial/groundskeeping/maintenance.
• Ability to plan, direct and review the work of subordinates.

Responsibilities

• Supervise custodial staff and contracted support.
• Direct cleaning and maintenance of buildings and facilities.
• Develop scope of work, requests for proposals and specifications; review contractor bids and submittals; award contracts.
• Schedule contractor work with contractors and affected tenants/customers; ensure work meets standards.
• Coordinate purchases with State Warehouse to improve efficiency and lower costs.
• Maintain time and attendance for custodial staff and manage travel for official business.
