Job summary

State of South Carolina is hiring for custodial duties at the SC Army National Guard Maintenance Shop. You will clean latrines, showers, locker rooms and common areas, and maintain surrounding grounds as needed.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, windows, walls and ceilings, restocking supplies, and following safety procedures. A valid SC driver's license and ability to lift 40 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial, housekeeping or pest control work.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties for SC Army National Guard Maintenance Shop.
• Clean latrines, showers, locker rooms and common areas.
• Clean grounds around Maintenance Shop of litter and debris.
• Maintain floor finishes in designated common areas and clean hard floors.
• Vacuum carpeted areas; sweep and mop floors; clean sinks, mirrors, toilets, urinals, windows, walls and ceilings.
• Restock cleaning supplies and paper products.
• Must follow safety procedures and use proper equipment.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and stand for long periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and work in confined spaces.
