Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma and custodial or groundskeeping experience.
• Knowledge of custodial/groundskeeping standards and safety practices.
• Knowledge of safety practices relevant to the area of employment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Valid SC Driver's license and completion of the agency's driver safety course.
• Ability to plan, direct and review the work of subordinates.
• Experience supervising custodial staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily upkeep across multiple buildings including floors, restrooms, and common areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely (buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, etc.).
• Clean windows, dust, and wipe furniture.
• Secure offices and ensure doors are locked when not in use.
• Maintain records of tasks and perform light maintenance as needed.
• Supervise and train custodial personnel.
